Update....

We are looking at going to site as soon as they come back from holidays in Jan 2016...2nd week approx.
There has been a lot of activity since we settled especially the last few weeks...there are 5 slabs down already. These are the display homes.
They also planted some trees, we have 1 on our nature strip.
It's funny how builders hurry when they want too!!

Yes....8 months late but finally!

12th November 2015....finally we settle!

29th October.......LAND TITLES

Finally after 8 months overdue our land has titled...stage 1 & 2 have both titled.
Stage 1 is all the display homes.
Here is a photo of our land, settlement is 12th November, can't wait!!

Land Update June.....

So here are a few photos from the site....they are full steam ahead & things are coming along.
I can't believe how fast the time is going. Hopefully we title in August.

 

Good to see some progression finally!!!

Land Title delayed again......

Yet another delay in the land title....we are now looking at August. More than a year after we purchased it. The new delay is that Vic Roads hasn't approved the new intersection so they will not title any land till then. OMG!!

The 1st delay was the protected bandicoots & frogs now it's Vic Roads, what next?

Went for a drive by to the land on the weekend & lots of progress since we were there 3 weeks ago.

New Adventure Begins.......AGAIN!!!

So after thinking long & hard we've decided not to build with Carlisle anymore as it was getting to difficult & we felt we weren't getting what we really wanted. You don't know where you stand with Carlisle & their pricing till you go to tender which wouldn't have been till May. Every time we asked for a price or just asked something about the process we felt like we were being difficult.

We are now building with Boutique Homes. We understand we've lost our deposit & had gone a long way with Carlisle but it's about being happy with what you are building, after all this will be our last home.

We paid our $1500 deposit on the 28th Feb 2015 & completed our PWC which is like a tender with Carlisle.

So we chose the Marseille 26 with an Escala facade.
The floor plan is very similar to what we had chosen before except the master is at the back & we were able to change a few things....so it's pretty much our design. Boutique have never built this house with the flip option of the master to the back so don't know if this is good or bad.
